We and our 2 dogs stayed here for a week. The location was great - just a few short blocks from the beach - the dogs & we had a blast there. The house is on a quiet street but only blocks away from grocery stores & restaurants The rooms were attractive clean & had all we needed. The most impressive part though was the professionalism & friendliness of Erin & Shar. We had a few appliance problems - dryer and bathroom - which Erin & Shar responded to immediately & in person. They live nearby and take their management responsibilities seriously & fixed the problems. When the repair to the dryer couldn't be done the day we discovered it because it was Sunday & a new part was needed - they checked to make sure we could get the clothes dried. Wow. The apartment is on the second floor so that could be an issue for some but they own downstairs apartments as well. We would definitely like to come back.
We rented the upstairs unit of this property for a weekend stay Jan. 31-Feb 2 and were very pleased with it! It was SUPER CLEAN, quiet, and the beds were very comfortable! We did not cook, but the kitchen had everything you'd need if you chose to cook. Erin responded to my inquiry right away and she made sure I received lots of info concerning the location, things to do, etc. We met the friendly owners on Sunday and mentioned that a few of the mini blinds needed replacing, which they agreed with. It has tile floors throughout which would be a plus for anyone traveling with children or pets. The walls and shelves are very sparsely decorated, but what is there provides you with a nice "beachy" feeling! We would stay there again without hesitation!
My husband, daughter, and I truly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was super clean and ever so comfortable. It was just a quick walk to a private beach. And, the location was perfect for getting to everything. Erin, the owner, was "the best" and wonderful to work with. A great place to relax and unwind!
We were looking for a home in a quiet environment for recuperating from surgery. We don't live in FL, but needed to stay in the area for a week after surgery to make sure we were close to the Mayo Clinic in case we needed to go back. From making the initial reservation, to asking to revise the dates, and then eventually checking out, the owner could not have been nicer or easier to work with! With the move-in date approaching, we were given tips on the area (where to shop, where to eat, and nearby attractions). On move in day, our final payment was made and we immediately received the key code for entering the home, and exact address. The owner checked on us (via text message) and asked if there was anything she could do to make our stay more enjoyable! She made it evident that she was available if we needed anything. The upstairs portion of the home that we rented was very clean. The appliances that we asked for were there as promised. The only issue I can think of inside the house was that the ice maker didn't work; so we bought a bag of ice... no biggie. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, cooking utensils, flatware, dishes, & glasses. The beds in both of the bedrooms were very comfortable, and there were extra pillows, blankets, & linens. (Going to bed the first night was so immediately comfortable because you could smell how freshly laundered everything was! ) The only downside I can mention is the location of the property itself. While home improvement is always a good thing, it felt like the entire block was under construction. All sides of the house we were renting had some sort of construction going on. So if you're looking for a quiet place to recuperate from surgery, this probably isn't it. If, however, you want to be at the beach during the day and be able to return to a quiet (construction seemed to stop @ 5), clean space for meals and relaxation - this is for you!! Enjoy the short walk to a not-overly-populated beach and take in the sun and sands of Jacksonville Beach! You won't be disappointed!!
